Wideblue: SKF – Insight Demonstration Rig, Hanover Trade Fair

SKF – InsightTM Demonstration Rig, Hanover Trade Fair

April 2013

The SKF Condition Monitoring Centre at Livingston has developed a new integrated, self powered, sensor package that uses a unique package of sensors and electronics to create a smart bearing capable of sending a wireless message when performance anomalies are detected. The technology was launched at the Hanover Trade Fair at the end of Q1 2013.

Against a fixed tradeshow deadline Wideblue worked with a broad spectrum of suppliers to create the demonstrator rig to SKF’s industrial design standards, delivering the unit in time to be launched at the show by Tom Johnstone, SKF President and CEO.
