Wideblue and Partners Win SBRI Phase 2 Competition for COPD Medical Device

10 December 2014

Wideblue and its development parters have won a SBRI Healthcare development contract to fully develop a new medical device for the management of COPD.

This phase 2 contract follows the successful completion of the phase 1 feasibility contract where the technical, medical and economic benefits of the new device were proven.

Phase 2 of this contract will start in December, lasts 12 months and will see the product move from feasibility through full design, into small-scale manufacturing, technical file preparation and clinical evaluation. Both phase 1 and phase 2 involved scrutiny and interview by a large panel including NHS, business, technical and regulatory experts.
