Wideblue CEO judging the Converge Challenge – fostering Scotland’s entrepreneurial talent pool

16 September 2010

The Converge Challenge, run by Heriot-Watt University, seeks to create opportunities for early career stage researchers to explore the commercial potential of their research and develop their entrepreneurial skills and capacity through training, mentoring and networking. The Challenge “is designed to take you from researcher to innovator by giving you the skills and know-how to turn a bright idea into a viable business proposition”.

Comprising a four-stage programme of business ideas generation, an intensive training workshop, business plan submission and panel review, prizes worth close to £30,000 will be awarded to help turn the best three ideas into start-up companies.

Jim Hall, Wideblue CEO, will be a member of the expert judging panel.
