Our Services

Wideblue Office

Our skills cover product design, mechanical, electronics and software design, physics and optics, with particular expertise in photonics and system engineering. Wideblue has successfully designed several first-of-a-kind products. Our clients are individuals, start-ups, technology research organisations, charities, and social enterprises as well as global multinationals. Our diverse skill set and strength in photonics provide our clients with a full end to end design and manufacturing service.

Our parent group, Pivot International, supports Wideblue at all stages of the development cycle and beyond into seamless transfer to manufacturing in locations around the world, including low cost. Pivot also supports Wideblue with incremental engineering support when needed, using its 120 strong engineer group worldwide across all disciplines. To help ensure Wideblue designs using only the best and most suitable components, Pivot UK was established. Pivot UK is a sophisticated global supply chain operation that supports all companies in order to meet the customers’ expectations on pricing, reliability, performance, and better manage longer-term obsolescence and counterfeiting issues.

Product Design

Our product design team addresses ergonomic, usability, and aesthetic requirements without compromising on demands such as cost, performance, and reliability.

Product Design

Mechanical Design

Using a Solidworks 3D CAD system, our mechanical design team's expertise covers design for a broad range of manufacturing processes. Our designs are also backed up by strong capability in engineering calculation and simulation, including computational stress analysis (FEA) and fluid/thermal simulations (CFD).

Mechanical Design

Optics/ Physics

Integration of photonics into products is a major strength at Wideblue. We can bring together optics with associated mechanisms, electronics, software and image processing to create innovative systems.

Optics/ Physics

Software

Wideblue's software team is regularly developing code for PC applications and embedded controllers from low power microcontrollers to high performance DSPs.
