Wideblue wins new TSB Photonics for Health Competition

Wideblue is to lead a new collaborative Research and Development project to develop a fast, accurate and low cost medical respiratory rate monitor and capnometer based on solid state infra red optics.

Wideblue teamed up with Gas Sensing Solutions (GSS) and Cambridge Respiratory Innovations Ltd (CRiL) to put together a winning bid in the recent Technology Strategy Board Photonics for Health competition.

The project is co-funded by the Technology Strategy Board, Wideblue, GSS and CRiL.The project will utilise Wideblue’s experience and strength in Optics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Prototyping, Medical Device Development and Project Management.
