Scottoiler – eSystem Chain Oiler

Product Brief:

Scottoiler asked Wideblue to help them redesign the electronics and update the firmware on their award-winning eSystem motorcycle chain lubrication system. The eSystem senses motor bike engine vibration and movement with a triple-axis accelerometer and automatically dispenses lubrication to optimise chain and sprocket performance and reliability.

Our Approach:

Working with the Scottoiler technical team, Wideblue redesigned the system electronics around an updated microprocessor and made a number of changes to improve EMC performance. Extensive bench and application testing was carried out to ensure that the design was sufficiently robust to cope with the harsh conditions experienced in all-weather riding.

Solution:

Wideblue updated the firmware, adding a real time clock and devising a more efficient data storage method in order to support a broader range of multi language interfaces.
