Wideblue to Double Lab Space

A Glasgow-based product design and development consultancy is ramping up its lab space on the back of a surge in new business

Wideblue is to double its optical laboratory space at the West of Scotland Science Park. The expanded facility will increase the firm’s capability to build and test photonics-based prototypes as well as provide a “clean build” area for small volume optomechanical assemblies.

Sky is Not the Limit for Glasgow-Based Wideblue

Leading product design consultancy, Wideblue, based in Glasgow, will be showcasing its space technology expertise at Space-Comm Expo Scotland.

Wideblue and sister company A2E are collaborating with the Glasgow-based Fraunhofer Centre for Applied Photonics (CAP) on an ambitious project to develop an optical communications system with very low size, weight and power requirements for use with high-altitude pseudo-satellites (HAPS).
